“I am passionate about empowering people to take responsiblity for their own wellbeing. I teach self-care as the first responsibility of the Kaimiri (practitioner). And the second is to teach accountability and self-care to the person you are treating. Mauri Ora!”

From a traditional perspective, it is abundantly clear that one of the main reasons for the extreme levels of sickness and DIS-EASE we see in the world today is DISCONNECTION.

Disconnection from traditional knowledge and practices, from whenua (land), whakapapa (ancestral lines), wairua (spirituality), community, passion and purpose and most importantly, from SELF.

Manawa Ora Mirimiri & Workshops teach Mirimiri and traditional Maori healing as a way to RECONNECT people once again.

Mirimiri & Romiromi Workshop Locations

The Manawa Ora Workshops are currently delivered in both New Zealand (Rotorua, Wellington) and Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Gold Coast and Brisbane).

These 2-day workshops are intensive and suitable for anyone who has an interest in Romiromi, Mirimiri or traditional, ancient Maori healing and wisdom.

Whether you are Maori or non-Maori, a beginner or an established practitioner, or a Kaimirimiri seeking to develop your knowledge and practice around bodywork and Whatumanawa (intuitive work), this course will empower you to utilise your skills by sharing ancient knowledge passed down from generation to generation.

Romiromi is fearless. It takes courage to do this work.
That’s why very few people do it
